Most issues could be fixed by a quick toll-free call to our Support team. In the rare case that a product isn't working or fails to meet your needs we'll promptly provide a replacement, exchange, refund or store credit.
Due to the nature of some of our products, some products can not be returned and/or have return limitations. Please see the list below for the products that fall into these categories:
Items no Longer in Resell-able Condition: If item or item packaging is no longer in a resell-able condition then we can not accept the return
Single-Use Devices: Items purchased for one-time use can not be returned after the product has been used. These include GPS tracking devices and bug and camera detectors
Software & Services: All Software; activation and monthly service fees; and shipping charges
Potentially Contaminated/Exposed Products: I.e. Ear Pieces
Items that have been installed can not be returned: I.e. Hardwired GPS Tracker
Items That Must be Returned in Original, Unopened Packaging: Pepper spray; fluid detection kits
Other Products: Made-to-order/custom-built hidden cameras and physically damaged items
In rare cases we may charge a restocking fee. When we determine that the item is no longer in resell-able condition we may charge you up to 20 % of the price of the item. This fee is to cover the cost of performing the work needed to make the item resell-able. This fee may be charged when there are missing materials, components or accessories or when the product packaging will need to be replaced.
The products must be returned in new, re-sellable condition:
Include all original packaging materials.
All manuals and warranty registration cards must be unmarked.
Any programming MUST be reset back to factory default.
Carefully repackage and double-box the merchandise with the RMA number clearly displayed on the outside of the shipping box.
Please do not place any stickers or shipping labels on the manufacturer's original package, as it will not be accepted for refund.

Refunds for returned item (s) will be issued in the same payment form as tended at the time of your purchase. If payment was made by credit card, Pay-Pal, check, or Google checkout, please allow 5-10 business days for credit to be processed after receipt of return. When refund has been processed, please allow 7-10 business days for a credit to appear on your credit card statement. If payment was made by check, the refund check will be issued after 20 days from the date of purchase.
Gift Card No-Returns Policy
Gift Cards may be used toward the purchase of any product in our Store's inventory. However, at this time a Gift Card can not be used in conjunction with a StarTechOutlet.com coupon. Gift Cards never expire. You can not return a Gift Card. Once you have used your Gift Card, the remaining balance may be viewed by logging into your account. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash.
RMA # is required for all returns. if you wish to return an item please contact us
30 Day Store credit: You may return the item within 30 days for a store credit. Our store credit does not expire.
Refund: Because of the nature of the product, refund is only allowed if you notify us within 3 days upon receiving your order. Please test the item right away. The item must be returned in new condition, in original boxes, and with all parts and accessories, otherwise restocking fee may apply. SCS does not refund any shipping charges for the order.
Warranty: All items come with 1 year warranty. If the unit is found to be defective we will repair/replace the unit. Warranty is voided if the product is altered in any way after receipt (ex: cut cable, wrong power, color change, etc.) will be happy to customize your order to suit your individual needs prior to purchase so that you may maintain your warranty.
